Bjauna

Name:
Bjauna Sorensen
Nick Names:
Ms.Velvet, Velvet, B, Beej
Where you were born:
In a tree house located somewhere in the Rocky’s.
Previous experience:
I attended OUC for Fine Art’s in the fall of 02′. After a couple of years I made the best decision of my life and attended the Art Institute of Vancouver. I fell in love with the idea of mixing art with computers. It was the holy grail for me. After graduating, my love for design turned into an obsession. Drivin’ with a thirst for knowledge I was hired as a designer for Norco Performance Bikes. Designing everything from brochures to bicycles to flyer’s, my thirst was not being quenched so I started to do freelance on the side. After 2 years at Norco/freelancing I decided to move on to bigger and better things which brought me to Invision!
Previous life experience:
Well I could list off a bunch of things, but that would be boring. The one thing I’ve learned from all my “life experiences” is do what you love. Sometimes you gotta take a risk, but if you truly believe in it, it all works out in the end.
If you could do any other job what would that be?
Cheese maker. I don’t know why. I love cheese so much and the craft of making cheese. Maybe have a couple of goats? OR a wine maker! Or I could be a wine cheese maker…. ooo…. that sounds tempting.
What’s playing on your stereo right now?
Going old school… Pennywise
What do you usually like to do on the weekends?
Usually my husband and I take the CT70’s out for a boot in the pit across the street from our place. Bonfires in our man cave with friends are also very popular.
Favourite thing about working at Invision is…..
Think of when you had your first job, and you worked with all your friends and how much fun that was…. it’s pretty much just like that.
Ninja’s or pirates?
Pirates! They have cannon’s and boats and gold and kick ass scars, and and and parrots! Only negative… Scurvy.
Who do you think is bad to the bone?
Macho Man Randy Savage….. Slim Jim’s & super cool sunglasses…. hello!
Anything else you would like to add?
I would like to sum this up with a quote from Bob Ross… “We’re gonna make some big decisions in our little world.”
